The Tac 6 amplified headset is Peltor's slimline ear protection.
Tac 6's are rated to a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 19 dB. They automatically
clip any sound above 79 dB within five milliseconds. Yeah, that's fast! Runs on
four AA sized batteries, giving 200 hours of use. Each ear cup has a separate
microphone, amplifier and volume control for true stereophonic operation. This
is a fine choice for a shooter that wants amplifiable hearing protection but
can't fit the Comtac series into their budget, or doesn't need that much comms
capability.
